Evaluation of Retained Austenite in Carburized Bearing Steel Using Magneto-Inductive Method

چکیده

The present work explores the magneto-inductive method to evaluate different levels of retained austenite content in carburized 20NiCrMo7 bearing steel while comparing corresponding measurements by X-ray diffractometry and image analysis optical microscope. was modified with additional tempering yield three samples distinct ranges profiles region steel. measured at depths these using had an outcome comparable other methods. Further discussion based on data suggests that magneto–induction yields precise (with average deviation 0.5%) results sufficient sensitivity (including below 5 vol. %.) austenite.
